SUDEP
Action Day Talk 2025
October 16, 2025

SUDEP, or Sudden Unexpected Death In Epilepsy refers to when an otherwise healthy person with epilepsy dies, and there is no connection to any other cause of death, such as an accident, illness, injury, or drowning. Many people who have lost a loved one to SUDEP didn't know anything about their risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.
Join Empowering Epilepsy on Thursday, October 16, 2025 to learn more about SUDEP, who is at risk, and what proactive strategies you and your loved ones can take to reduce your risk.
Learn more from both Stephen Hantus, MD, Adult Epileptologist at Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center and Jong Woo Lee, MD, PhD at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
