Development Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator helps organize and administer fundraising efforts for Empowering Epilepsy. The role involves planning and coordinating annual events, managing resources, and ensuring seamless execution of fundraising initiatives. You will be responsible for scheduling events, overseeing staff and volunteer participation, and managing event budgets to maximize fundraising outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and execute fundraising events, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.

Coordinate staff and volunteer schedules and attendance at events, ensuring full participation and smooth operations.

Manage event budgets, resources, and logistics, ensuring events are cost-effective and within budget.

Maintain accurate records of event performance, attendance, and financial outcomes, providing timely reports to leadership.

Collaborate with team members to identify and develop new fundraising opportunities.

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to fundraising events.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Valid Driver’s License required.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit event management.

Must be self-motivated, independent, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work in multiple locations and remotely, as needed.

Strong time management and scheduling skills, with a keen eye for detail and deadlines.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Problem-solving ability, with flexibility to adapt to evolving event needs and unforeseen challenges.

Willingness to work outside of standard business hours to accommodate event schedules.

A passion for learning about epilepsy and dedication to the organization’s mission.
Required:

Full-time, 40 hours per week, in the Beachwood office.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel between event locations.

Desire to learn about epilepsy and understand and appreciate the importance of the mission.

Personal connection to epilepsy is a plus.
